Attractions

America's Mountain-Pikes Peak Highway and the Cog Railway Is one of the earliest tourist attractions. The original road was built in the 1880's by the Cascade Town Company. The toll road is 26 miles long and about half paved. In June, the "Race to the Clouds" is held. We recommend our guests take a more leisurely approach to the drive or consider the Cog Railway to the top and leaving the driving to someone else!

Downtown Colorado Springs near Colorado College
Colorado College Founded in 1874, the Colorado College is a private liberal arts and sciences college. Located on a 90 acre campus near downtown Colorado Springs, CO, CC is popular with guests who want to meander along beautiful pathways to the Monument Valley Park or walk southwest to "pedestrian friendly" downtown Colorado Springs. The Authentic Inns are favorites for parents coming for graduation, parent's weekends or "missing your student" weekends. One of the Inns is just two blocks from the campus.

The International Associations of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Fallen Firefighter Memorial is just one mile from downtown Colorado Springs. The Inns offer close-by accommodations for families and visitors. The Memorial honors the families, friends and colleagues of career fire fighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The Authentic Inns offer special rates to firefighters and /or their families during the annual observance held the third Saturday of September each year.
