America's Mountain-Pikes Peak Highway and the Cog Railway Is one of the earliest tourist attractions. The original road was built in the 1880's by the Cascade Town Company. The toll road is 26 miles long and about half paved. In June, the "Race to the Clouds" is held. We recommend our guests take a more leisurely approach to the drive or consider the Cog Railway to the top and leaving the driving to someone else! |
